Welcome to Vallie
Yesterday afternoon, we quietly released our app on the UK App Store. Next week, we start our public launch.
Today we want to welcome you to Vallie.
We want to start by thanking everyone who has helped us get here. It’s been said that it takes a village to raise a child and we know it’s taken a village to bring this business to where we are today. We have much, much further to go and hope you’ll continue to join us for the ride.
As we approach launch, we’d also like to reflect on the grander mission of our company. Vallie is about the future of cities.
As more of the world’s population moves to cities, there’s an ever greater need for residential and commercial property developments. The developments of the future, however, won’t have the car parks alongside them like they do now. Cities will be more crowded; space will be even more precious. Vallie negates the need for the adjacent car park while still allowing every building to maintain parking.
Driverless cars are also the future but even driverless cars need a place to park. Driverless cars will need an API for Parking, and Vallie will be that API.
We’re not Uber for Parking. We’re DHL for Parking — just-in-time logistics for car storage. We’re Netflix for Parking — starting by delivering parking spaces physically and eventually delivering them digitally. The opportunity is massive — you hear it every time someone complains about parking in any city in the world.
Launch is coming. Winter is coming. And we’re pumped to build a business that people will love and help shape the future of cities.
